What Have I Been Doing? March 2026 Update and Changes

Journal Entry #1

Platform Development Update
It's been a while since my last post, but a lot has been happening behind the scenes. I’ve also had unexpected health challenges that I will write about in a future entry.
The Navigation Bar has changed and now includes some new additions. I have been non-stop building components into my personal data platform, such as this Journal section, a Sales Feed, a Daily Feed, a Private Feed, and an Application Launcher along with a few experimental AI apps.
Why did I do this?
Some might call it procrastination. I prefer to think of it as planning for the future.
The traditional blog never quite made sense to me. Most people don’t operate or communicate in one mode. Sometimes you need to write about deeper ideas, philosophy, or the underlying rules that shape our world. Other times you just want to share updates about what you’re working on, where you’ve been, or what you’re building.
When everything gets mixed into a single feed, deeper ideas tend to get buried under everyday updates.
Separating things into different areas solves that problem.
Thoughts is where deeper ideas live. That section is a place where reflections, philosophy, and theory can come to life. These are items that deserve a little more space, attention, and focus.
This Journal section is different. This is more of a running ledger of what I am building and where I am going. It's less about philosophy and more about documenting progress over time.
The Daily Feed is a bit of an experiment. In theory it would be a place for short updates, pictures, or even location check-ins if someone wanted to meet up. But in the modern internet, privacy is always a concern. Because of that, I've also built a Private Daily Feed where family and close friends can log in and see those kinds of updates.
I'm still testing the waters on what should remain public. Although if I happen to post that I'm at a Starbucks and you want to stop by and say hello, I'm usually happy to meet people.
Just know that my consulting rate still applies.
You'll also notice an Applications section. Behind the scenes I've been building a few tools that Maxon Inc. is currently using internally. That includes a Slack-style communications feed, an AI-powered receipt spreadsheet generator, and a telephony call line and voicemail system powered by Telnyx.
These are all things I'm experimenting with now that may eventually become services offered to clients.
As for comments, ads, and some of the other typical website features — those are mostly built as well. I just haven't turned them on yet.
Technically Google doesn't think the site has enough valuable content to run ads.
They might be right.
I'm still waiting on AdSense approval, but maybe if I manage to post more than once every few months, I'll give them something worth advertising on.
Till next time, Keep building!
