My First Post

I didn’t make this site because the internet needed another blog or website. I made it because I needed a place to write, think, and share my thoughts with the world.

For years, I’ve had ideas that didn’t really have a home. I learned early to jot my thoughts down in notebooks, Word docs, note apps, reminders, etc. Some were half-finished ideas or inventions. Some were just thoughts on life.

Social media is too much work and feels fake. And using someone else’s platform never felt quite right to me.

So I built my own.

Not just the site, but the whole thing, every part of the blog platform underneath it. I wanted to have full control, not just over how it looks, but how it works. It took longer this way, but I know what it’s doing, because I made it.

For years my wife suggested I start a blog because she thought it would help me reach far and make a large impact. I don’t think she expected me to build an entire publishing platform from scratch, but here we are...

I’m not trying to follow trends or chase traffic. I’m not here to post every day or game the system. I’ll write when I have something to say, and I’ll say it the way I want.

This site is for that.

And this is just the beginning.
